When mounted on a single stud, the vertical is on a different axis from the ceiling mount - making precise adjustment difficult, but it works well, and was fairly easy to set up.

As this was my first purchase of any type of projector mount, I have nothing else to compare the Polaris Universal Extension Model with. However, I cannot imagine any other mount being easier to work with and install. The instructions were straight forward and understandable, the mount itself crafted like a precision instrument, and the accompanying hardware of the highest quality. I highly recommend the Polaris Universal Projector Mount to anyone in the market for this type of equipment.
